Easy Christmas Cheer

McClendon has now learned what it means to "ask" for something for Christmas, which stresses me out a little more than it should. Okay, a lot more than it should. Things he has "needed" in the past week or so include an airplane from the airport, Cheetah Girls (the actual girls to cheer him on as he plays soccer), a Star Wars light saber and an Elmo Live character (which he no longer watches but informed me we could get one at Wal-Mart). None of which will be under the tree on Christmas and he doesn't play soccer.

However, I've decided that all we really needed to get him was a copy of The Polar Express and a new pair of pajamas. They seem to be the highlight of his day several times recently. Just thought I'd share a pic so you can see just how fine the boy feels in his new pj's. Maybe his contentment will rub off on his mommy one of these days.

Loving What's To Come

So, I'm at the point that I think most of my friends have experienced where I'm wondering what in the world we were thinking when we decided to have another child. How in the world will we love someone as much as we do McClendon? How will we fit time in with both of them? Will we still be good parents to him when she comes along? And, finally...how did he grow up so much so fast? As I watch him climb in and out of the car and buckle himself in, wash his hands with little help, say "thank you" without prompting, and remember to ask me almost everyday how my day was; I wonder how in the world this happened with one blink.

However, I was reminded a few nights ago that even though he's getting so big, becoming so independent and thinks he very rarely needs me to help with anything...he's still such a small little blessing that could never be anyone but my sweet baby boy. He's not so grown up after all.

Fort Lincoln Texas

This is my first time to get on here and "blog". Rebekah doesn't even know I'm doing it. :)

McClendon and I have had a great day watching college football and constructing an awesome fort. Of course his favorite part is destroying it. None the less, it is fun times. Not to leave you out Rebekah, we have also had fun with you. I know you are out buying groceries and all the great mother things you do.

Worth The Wait...

Well, for those of you who have been patiently waiting (and I use the word patiently loosely); we found out this morning that we are having a baby girl! Although it's almost surreal, we are very excited! I'm sure those of you who have both will be able to share your wisdom with us about parenting boys and girls.

Everything on the ultrasound looked great. The Dr. said he was very pleased with growth and development of every detail. As always, we were amazed at how God can create such a miracle. He is just beyond words.

Just wanted to share our exciting news!

By the way, her name will be Kendal.

GO RED RAIDERS!!!!

I can't help but share our excitement for Tech's football team this season. As most of you know I've all but despised college football to this point. However, I have to say...I'm becoming addicted!

One Scary Dragon

As you can tell, McClendon was quite the "scary" dragon for Halloween. He had been sick for 2 days prior, but seeing as all we had done was stay at home and watch Halloween specials on every cable channel, he woke up Friday morning begging to go trick-treating. So, we ended up doing some old-school trick-or-treating. He had a blast and we were still home early enough to hand out candy at our house. What a fun time!

Our First Trip To Disney World

So, we found out on our 6 day trip to Orlando that our son is not much of a traveler. He loved the airplane ride but was ready to go home the day after we arrived. However, he enjoyed seeing his "friends." I thought I would attach some of the pics to let you all know what it's like to spend time at a place "where dreams come true." By the way, the shades are from the 3D Bug's Life show we saw.

It's about time...

I'm sure most of you are thinking the same thing...it's about time those Millers started a blog! I'm not sure how well I'll be able to keep up but I'm willing to try my best. We have had such a fun couple of weeks despite McClendon and I both having some sort of upper respiratory junk. However, with Fall in full swing and Halloween, it's been tons of fun with a two year old. This is his trip through the hay maze a few weeks ago. He did not want to get out and go home. He was having way too much fun!
